About Tominey's City Ices

Tominey?s City Ices of St Albans made traditional Italian Ice Cream from 1930 for approximately 60 years.

In 2005 we decided to rekindle the family Ice Cream Business but in a traditional style serving ice cream made in the old fashioned way. As such, and to maintain a traditional theme, we have restored a 1950 Morris J Type Commercial Ice Cream Van in Tominey?s City Ices livery. My Grandfather purchased a similar van new in the 1950?s. There are several other Classic / Vintage Ice Cream Vans and trailers in the pipeline and, having recently sold our 1959 Bedford C.A., we are now pleased to announce our newly restored 1959 Morris JB Type Ice Cream Van, available for hire.

We serve ice cream made in the old fashioned way from our beautifully restored, classic vehicles at prestigious events including:

We are also available for Commercial Film and Television work.

We believe the combination of old fashioned ice cream with beautiful old ice cream vans will be attractive to both event organisers and the public. We are flexible and realise that some clients prefer to work on a percentage donation of the ice cream takings of the day. This can be discussed depending on the nature of the event.

We can assure you of a totally professional service, serving products of the very finest quality.

I have a passionate interest in Vintage Cars having restored my collection of five cars personally and am currently restoring a 1935 Derby Bentley as well as the Morris Ice Cream Van. I belong to the Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club, The Bentley Drivers Club, The Morris J Type register and the Vintage Austin Register, The Post Vintage Humber Club and the Chilterns Preservation Group.
